11Six24 Introduces HexGrit: Superior Spin Built to Last the Life of the Paddle

The brand's new Power 2 paddle line features a proprietary silicon-carbide surface material designed to solve one of the industry's most persistent problems

In pickleball's current era, power sells paddles. But the meta is shifting as we speak.

More and more, those looking for an upgrade aren't just asking, "Is it a power paddle?" – they're wondering this instead: "Does it have long-lasting grit?"

That phrase – "long-lasting" – is the key.

All new paddles come with some form of surface texture to impart spin, control, and shot-making ability. Many rely on spray-on grit that gradually wears down through normal play. In fact, it's often the reason a paddle becomes unplayable; the grit is gone.

The new series keeps the brand’s popular shapes while introducing upgraded materials and a new surface structure aimed at delivering long-lasting spin and consistent performance.

At the center of the Power 2 lineup is HexGrit.

“We embed silicon carbide in the surface,” 11Six24 Founder David Groechel tells me of the brand's new patent-pending surface technology.

According to Groechel, early testing suggests the surface shows almost no measurable spin degradation over time. (Popular paddle reviewer Chris Olson of Pickleball Studio has put more than 100 games on his Power 2 Vapor and concluded the surface texture has effectively remained the same.)

“If you’ve seen the reviewers test, there’s basically zero degradation,” Groechel says. “They’ve seen anywhere from one to four percent, which can be in the margin of error for testing.”

That durability could translate into serious value.

“For any average player, the grit is designed to last pretty much the life of the paddle,” Groechel says.

Power 2: Specs & Construction

The Power 2 lineup is currently offered in the brand's familiar shapes:

• Hurache-X (elongated): 16.5" L x 7.5" W with a 6" grip length
• Vapor (hybrid): 16.25" L x 7.75" W with a 5.75" grip length
• Pegasus (widebody): 15.8" L x 8.12" W with a 5.75" grip length

All paddles come in three colorways (teal, lavender, and white) and carry a 12-month warranty. They retail for $209.99.

Beyond the surface technology, the Power 2 line also incorporates an upgraded internal core construction.

The paddles feature an MPP floating foam core design with an EVA perimeter that, according to the website, "delivers explosive pop when you load up on drives and thirds, then dials back to a soft, predictable feel on dinks and resets."

I've played each shape extensively and can fully attest that they deliver on that promise. The more you put in, the more you get out.

Together, the internal structure and HexGrit surface aim to deliver a paddle that offers both spin and consistency without sacrificing feel.

Designed for Real Play — Even at the Pro Level

Durability claims are easy to make, but the company points to early real-world testing as validation.

PPA pro Dekel Bar signed with 11Six24 recently and has been playing the Power 2 Vapor ever since.

And according to Groechel, they're signed up-and-coming pro Will MacKinnon as well.

Other pros like Rafa Hewett have also been spotted using them on tour.

The Power 2 series is currently only UPA-A approved, but that doesn't mean you can't use it in rec play or even tournament play.

If you're unsure, ask the event organizer. Groechel says so far this hasn't been much of an issue.

Paddle Tech's New Frontier

Groechel says that consistency and confidence are the most noticeable benefits players report with Power 2.

“The biggest feedback we’ve gotten from most people is they can just pick this thing up and play with it,” he said.

That reliability – combined with long-lasting spin — is what the company hopes will set the Power 2 line apart, especially during high-pressure moments in a match.

If 2026 is the year of longer-lasting grit, 11Six24 has been strong out of the gate and is undoubtedly leading the charge.

If HexGrit continues to perform as promised, players may no longer need to worry about the gradual loss of grit that often comes with heavy use.

Instead, they’ll be able to focus on the one variable that still matters most.
