15 Events, 1,000 Players: The Dink MiLP's Record-Setting Weekend

With more than 300 annual events across 12 countries, The Dink Minor League Pickleball is quickly becoming one of the sport's premier competitions.

The DUPR-based format ensures gameplay is fair across teams and divisions, meaning the guaranteed matches at each event are as fun as they are competitive.

And the craze is catching on: The Dink MiLP just saw its largest combined weekend ever, with nearly 1,000 players competing in 15 total events–twelve in the US and three in China.

From Massachusetts to California, in venues of all shapes and sizes, the country's top amateurs turned out, a testament to the broad and growing appeal of team-based pickleball.

Already this year, MiLP has hosted 126 events. By year's end, the total will surpass 300 around the globe. And more countries are coming online all the time, including Vietnam, China, Puerto Rico, Australia and Costa Rica.

It all culminates at the 2025 The Dink MiLP National Championships, taking place December 3-7 at The Pickler Universe in Dallas, Texas.

New to The Dink Minor League Pickleball? Here's a rundown of the rules:

• Divisions are broken out by a team's combined DUPR rating
• Each team is made up of two men and two women competing together in men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and two mixed doubles matches.
• If things are tied after four games, it all comes down to a DreamBreaker™
• Players compete at local events, State Championships, and Regional Showdowns, all leading to one destination: Nationals.
