2024 Detroit Pickleball League Week 6 | Eddie and Webby Pickleballers vs Dill Pickles

Here are some highlights from week 6 of the 2024 season of the Detroit Pickleball League. This is the first night of the "post season". Even though The Eddie and Webby Pickleballers were just ONE game victory short of making it into the playoffs, we are still competing to become the Consolation Bracket Champions. Were we able to pull off enough wins to compete for some hardware in next week's final night of competition? Watch this video to find out! The Detroit Pickleball League format is similar to Major League Pickleball, but involves players with a skill level between 3.5 and 4.4. Each team consists of 3 men and 2 women. Each week, our team will face off against one other team in a match consisting of 9 games. The first 8 games will feature women's doubles, men's doubles and mixed doubles (each player on the team must take part in 4 games per day of competition). The 9th, and final, game of the evening is called DreamBreak Doubles, where 2 players from a team will play until they score 4 points. After scoring 4 points, the two other designated players will rotate in and play until they score 4 points (the original 2 will then rotate back in). Each game is rally scoring and teams play to 21 points (win by 2).
