The 2025 Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships returned to Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch, Texas, and smashed records. A crowd of 60,000+, bringing in more than $1.1 million in combined ticket and hospitality revenue, were on hand to witness pickleball’s greatest player, 18-year-old Anna Leigh Waters, become the winningest player in Carvana PPA Tour history, achieving a remarkable triple crown victory to win her record-breaking 168th career title.
Nearly all 50 states were represented in the amateur competition ranks, which saw a record 4,400 total participants, including players from 38 countries competing in more than 6,000 matches throughout the week in what is truly the world’s greatest pickleball event.
Fan engagement was equally extraordinary. Pickleballtv saw a record 70 million minutes viewed across the event and official social media handles reached rarified air, accumulating 54 million impressions. Earned media coverage also generated a record-setting 1.2 billion potential international and domestic impressions (+50% vs. last year’s event).
“We came back to Brookhaven this year in anticipation of putting on the largest, greatest event the pickleball world has ever known, and we did just that,” said Carvana PPA Tour Founder & CEO Connor Pardoe. “This was the 100th PPA event and it was a remarkable showcase of how much we have grown, with intense competition on both the pro and amateur side, and the insane crowds filling Pickleball Boulevard and Nature’s Sunshine Championship Court daily. We feel confident in saying that the 2025 edition of the Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships was the most extraordinary tournament in pro pickleball history.”
“Being at the Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships was electric,” said Jenius Bank President John Rosenfeld. “The energy on the grounds, the level of competition, and the passion of this community are unmatched. We’re proud to champion a sport that brings people together and celebrates what it means to live richer lives—on and off the court.”
The event, which spanned two weekends, beginning with the Edward Jones MLP Cup from October 31 – Nov. 2, saw the largest amalgamation of pickleball ever seen. The St. Louis Shock, featuring star players Anna Bright and Hayden Patriquin, took home the MLP Cup, defeating the hometown Dallas Flash in an epic battle of MLP juggernauts. Alongside the MLP Cup on the first weekend was the first-ever Adidas Collegiate World Championships, which saw teams from universities across the world gather to compete for the title of collegiate world champion, a title which Utah Tech University now claims.
As the week progressed, the pickleball celebration continued, seeing incredible competition from the Junior PPA players, along with the adaptive wheelchair competition, and the Battle of the Badges and Battle of the Branches, which saw military veterans and first responders duke it out on the courts. Wednesday night’s Celebrity Pickleball Showdown was a huge hit, seeing NBA Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki, World Series Champion J.D. Martinez, NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens and international gaming star Tfue go paddle-to-paddle with pro pickleball’s best, including Waters, Ben Johns, and Bright. The final weekend also bore witness to the PPA Challenger Showdown, in which the top players from this year’s inaugural PPA Challenger Series season competed for their pickleball dream, a Carvana PPA Tour contract offer.
From the record-setting crowds witnessing pickleball’s biggest star achieve a milestone victory at the Carvana PPA Tour’s centennial event, to an astounding national and international turnout of amateur and collegiate players, unmatched programming events and competitions, and incredible concerts on the FLIGHT by Yuengling Stage, the 2025 Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships was a tournament that set the bar for what professional pickleball can be.
