In this video, I’m training my 55+ pickleball student to stop panicking, stay calm after every shot, and start reading the game better. A lot of players don’t lose because they can’t hit the ball. They lose because they rush, move too early, make decisions too late, or hit the wrong shot under pressure. So I gave her 3 simple but powerful drills: 1. The Freeze Drill — after every shot, she has to stop and stay balanced. 2. The Call Your Shot Drill — before she hits, she has to say if she’s driving or dropping. 3. The Read the Opponent Drill — she has to watch what I’m doing before choosing the right shot. These drills help players improve balance, patience, shot selection, decision-making, and court awareness. If you are a senior player, 50+, 55+, 60+, or just someone who rushes too much on the court, this video will help you understand how to slow the game down and make better decisions. Don’t just hit the ball. Read the game. #pickleball #pickleballdrills #seniorpickleball #pickleballtips #pickleballtraining Source: Cliff Pickleball
