APP Announces Full 2026 Tour Schedule, Featuring 13 Nationally Televised Events and Expanded Circuits

The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) has announced its 2026 event schedule, the organization’s eighth full season of elite pickleball competition. The calendar features 13 nationally televised APP Tour events, additional APP Next tournaments, an expanded APP Selkirk Collegiate Series, Showcase Events, and international competition.

“Another exciting chapter of momentum and growth is upon us, as we launch season eight of the APP,” said APP Founder Ken Herrmann. “Our event portfolio has expanded far beyond just APP Tour events, and we truly have something for everyone. We stay committed to being a resource for pickleball players worldwide, and giving our pro players a global stage to shine.”

APP Tour 2026

The 2026 APP Tour includes 12 stops across the United States, each with national broadcast coverage on CBS Sports and ESPN, alongside extensive livestreaming. Competition remains open to amateurs of all ages and skill levels, as well as professional divisions, including the AARP Champions (50+) and AARP Masters (60+) categories.

  • Feb. 18-22 – Daytona Beach Open (Holly Hill, FL)
  • Mar. 25-29 – Fort Lauderdale Open (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
  • Apr. 29-May 3 – Sacramento Open (Roseville, CA)
  • May 13-17 – Southern California Open (Newport Beach, CA)
  • May 27-31 – Virginia Beach Open (Virginia Beach, VA)
  • June 10-14 – Vlasic Classic – Cincinnati (Cincinnati, OH)
  • July 22-26 – Chicago Open (Highland Park, IL)
  • Aug. 19-23 – Detroit Open (Novi, MI)
  • Sep. 16-20 – Overland Park Open (Overland Park, KS)
  • Oct. 14-18 – Humana Louisville Open (Louisville, KY)
  • Oct. 28-Nov. 1 – Arizona Open (Mesa, AZ)
  • Dec. 2-6 – APP Tour Championships (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

Major tournament designations, which will include enhanced prize pools and ranking points, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Partnerships and New Host Cities

Several events will be staged with support from city tourism and sports commissions. The APP Humana Louisville Open is backed by Humana Inc., Louisville Tourism, and the Louisville Sports Commission. The Detroit Open is supported by the Detroit Sports Commission, while the Overland Park Open is hosted with Visit Overland Park.

APP Next Circuit

Founded in 2021, APP Next remains the only dedicated player development tour in pro pickleball. Designed for athletes 23 and under, the 2026 circuit includes seven events at Chicken N Pickle venues nationwide, plus a finale in Fort Lauderdale.

Schedule highlights: Houston (Jan. 16-18), San Antonio (Feb. 13-15), Las Vegas (Mar. 20-22), Dallas (June 19-21), St. Louis (July 31-Aug. 2), Kansas City (Oct. 23-25), and Fort Lauderdale (Dec. 11-13).

Collegiate Series

The APP Selkirk Collegiate Series will return with regional qualifiers in 2025 and early 2026, culminating in the U.S. Collegiate Championships in Cape Coral, FL, March 6-8, 2026. Schools will compete in team and individual brackets for a total of $85,000 in prize money, including $50,000 at the championship.

Showcase Events

The APP Showcase lineup continues in 2026, including the APP Women’s Open Presented by The James (Columbus, OH, Oct. 2-4) and the Collegiate Championships. Additional Showcase Events will be announced in the coming months.
