MIXED DOUBLES FINAL: 

(1) Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns def. (5) Etta Wright and Christian Alshon, 11-9, 11-5, 11-2.

  • Waters and Johns’s 15th title together this year, and 42nd total.
  • Wright, Waters and Vivienne David are the only women to win at least two Mixed Doubles titles this year.
  • Waters and Johns trailed 7-1-1 in Game One, then went on a 17-2 run, winning Game One and going up 7-0 in Game Two.
  • Waters and Johns had fewer dinks into the net or wide (8-2) and fewer volleys into the net (10-8).
  • Waters and Johns were better at winning rally-ending speed-up hands battles they initiated, 53% to 45%.
  • Longest rally: 41 shots. 

MEN’S DOUBLES FINAL: 

(7) Riley Newman and Hayden Patriquin def. (4) Dekel Bar and Pablo Tellez, 11-4, 11-6, 11-8.

  • Newman’s first title this year, and 20th overall career title.
  • Patriquin’s third title this year (two with Staksrud).
  • Newman and Patriquin trailed 4-3-2 in Game One, won 11-4.

WOMEN’S DOUBLES FINAL: 

(2) Anna Bright and Rachel Rohrabacher def. (1) Catherine Parenteau and Anna Leigh Waters, 11-4, 11-8, 11-6.

  • These two teams have won every tournament this year except for the Red Rock Open in April (Lea Jansen and Tina Pisnik).
  • Parenteau and Waters lead the overall Finals head-to-head, 5-3.
  • Bright and Rohrabacher called time out in Game Three trailing 6-6-1, closed out strong to win the game 11-6.
  • Bright and Rohrabacher: More clean winners (16-9), fewer errors on serves/returns/thirds (6-2), better at winning rally-ending speed-up hands battles they initiated, 67% to 62%.
  • Longest rally: 33 shots.

MEN’S SINGLES FINAL: 

(1) Federico Staksrud def. (21) Michael Loyd, 11-3, 11-7.

  • Tour-leading eighth Men’s Singles title this year, and 12th career.
  • First PPA medal for Loyd.
  • Staksrud never trailed. He led Game One 10-0 and Game Two 5-0.
  • Staksrud: More clean winners (9-7), fewer serve & return errors (6-3), and fewer baseline drive errors (5-4).
  • Longest rally: 13 shots.

WOMEN’S SINGLES FINAL: 

(1) Anna Leigh Waters def. (9) Kate Fahey, 11-7, 11-8.

  • Waters’s 11th title this season (43rd career).
  • Fahey has medaled in six of the last eight tournaments, including two titles.
  • Waters trailed in Game One 4-0 and won 11-7.
  • Waters trailed in Game Two 8-6 and won the last five points to win 11-8.
  • Waters: More clean winners (13-8).
  • Longest rally: 13 shots.
