Oh, how the tables have turned.

Tennis star Coco Gauff's coach, Brad Gilbert, is well-known for being a big fan of pickleball. Last year, he posted some praise for the Dink Master Wall on social media. Something Rennae Stubbs, the former coach of Serena Williams, responded to with an "oy."

Now, Gilbert is pushing for tennis to learn from pickleball and make a rule change. Specifically, he thinks doubles tennis should explore adding a "kitchen line" similar to pickleball. The idea being that it would prevent a player from the other team standing right on top of the net.

I Would like to see net man when partner serving not allowed to stand on top of net maybe 🤔 a pickle 🥒 kitchen line, would be more interesting 🤔

As we pickleballers know, the main aim of the kitchen rule is to prevent a player from standing at the net and smashing everything.

Fortunately, the pickleball community is very giving and we will gladly allow tennis to steal this from our sport.

Our only ask ... give us Serena Williams in return.

The pickleball is in your court, tennis.
