Tonight — November 17th, 2022 — Pickleball fan Stephen Colbert anchors the CBS special “Pickled,” where celebrities square off playing our favorite sport. Check it out and set your DVRs (9 EST/PST, check your local tv listing), should be some great entertainment!

Teams will be battling it out on the Southern California courts for the Comic Relief charity where a wide range of celebs, who paired up, in keeping with pickleball’s overwhelmingly doubles-focused ethos.

The teams consist of singer and actress Kelly Rowland and “The White Lotus” Emmy winner Murray Bartlett; ex-boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and actress Emma Watson; country star Dierks Bentley and “The Amazing Race” host Phil Keoghan; actors Luis Guzman and Daniel Dae Kim; actors Jaime Camil (“Jane the Virgin”) and Aisha Tyler; actors June Diane Raphael and Paul Scheer; “American Idol” alum Jimmie Allen and actor Max Greenfield; and comedian Tig Notaro and an unannounced “mystery player.”

This morning I did a live zoom with CBS morning news out of Chicago, IL, where they were getting their pickleball groove on and highlighting the upcoming show tonight. Here is one segment where I got to talk history – After all, I am the official USA pickleball historian, and in the Pickleball Hall of Fame, and just love pickleball and all that play!
