Here It Is — The Most Unique New Paddle That's USAP-Approved

Square top. Round throat hole. No shame.

We've brought you plenty of funky paddles from the USA Pickleball archives before.

• There's Xcaliber, with the highly unorthodox "pistol grip."
• Or Drone Attack, which looks like it took a wrong turn on the assembly line floor.
• And who can forget the Kobo Axe Thunder, a bulbous alien head retailing for the low, low price of just $400.

But there's been nothing quite like what we're seeing from DadGum Paddles.

The brand has two paddles currently for sale: the Smoke (kevlar face, $229) and the Legend (carbon fiber face, $169).

The Legend just gained USAP approval yesterday.

It's safe to say we've yet to see a paddle that looks quite like either of these:

• First there's the shape: elongated with a super squared-off top
• Then there's the throat hole: small and perfectly round
• The grip appears to be short and very square
• Both also come with a DadGummies™ adjustable weight system, featuring slots on the top and sides to pop in or out 1-gram weight pods

The brand's website is professional-looking. And they appear to be the real deal.

They're definitely not forgettable, we'll give them that.
