How to Hit a Good Volley in Pickleball

I was that player who swung way too big at the kitchen line... 😅 You know the type - huge backswing, massive follow-through, and then completely out of position when the ball came back! Then I watched how the pros handle volleys at the kitchen line and it was a total revelation. Here's what they do differently: short, compact swings. The paddle never goes behind their hips. Why? Because when you're attacking or volleying at the kitchen line, you need to be ready for the next shot immediately. Big swings leave you compromised and out of position. This tiny change made a HUGE difference for me and totally eliminated my "swing big and hope" strategy. Are you a fellow big swinger? Or have you mastered the compact volley technique? #pickleball #pickleballtips Source: All Things Pickleball
