A Long Island-based gym and racket club owner has announced plans to open a state-of-the-art pickleball facility in Wayne, New Jersey next year.

This impressive facility, situated on the third floor of Willowbrook Plaza at 77 Willowbrook Blvd, will span 50,000 square feet and house a total of 20 courts, including a stadium-style court.

Sportime Clubs, the owners of this new facility, hopes to host national tournaments and will also feature amenities such as a concession stand and space for corporate events.

The club is set to open its doors in the spring of 2025.

The facility is part of an expansion of operations for Sportime Clubs, which also announced this week that it will open 13 pickleball courts at the Merrick Avenue Athletic Center, a multisport complex in Westbury, New York.

The company hopes to open at least a dozen pickleball centers by the end of 2027.

According to USA Pickleball, New Jersey ranks 19th out of all states with 211 places to play and 951 total courts.

While that's probably not enough for such a populated area, adding the largest indoor pickleball facility should be a nice addition to the New Jersey pickleball community.
