Pickleball Slam 4 Pits Waters vs. Agassi for a $1 Million Prize

The "Battle of the Sexes" event goes down Wednesday, April 15, in Hollywood, Florida.

This week, worlds are going to collide at the annual Pickleball Slam. 

Hosted on Wednesday, April 15 at 7 p.m. in Hollywood, Florida, this year's slam is headlined by Andre Agassi, Anna Leigh Waters and a jaw dropping $1 million purse.

Since its inception in 2023, the competition is really picking up speed, meaning this year’s rendition is shaping up to be the most exciting we’ve ever seen.

Aired on ESPN, the main event features a clash between former tennis legends and current pickleball phenomenons, as Andre Agassi and James Blake join forces to face Anna Leigh Waters and Genie Bouchard. 

But before the highly anticipated doubles ensues, two singles matches will preface.

• First, former world No. 4 and seven-time ATP champion James Blake takes on 19-year-old Anna Leigh Waters, the top-ranked player in women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles in pickleball.
• Then, Andre Agassi, who has won all three of the previous slams, faces Eugenie Bouchard, the former Wimbledon finalist and current No. 9 in women’s singles.

Agassi is the only name to successfully appear as a participant in every Pickleball Slam so far, cementing him as a core piece of the event and solidifying his full transition from tennis to pickleball. 

But even in the world of pickleball, this event is a deviation from the norm. It isn’t sanctioned by the APP or MLP. There are no implications regarding world rank or DUPR. It’s an exhibition and a demonstration of the sports reach and star power.

2. The Pickleball Slam 2 (2024): Andre Agassi and his wife Steffi Graf take down John McEnroe and Maria Sharapova at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
3. The Pickleball Slam 3 (2025): Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf win again, beating Andy Roddick, and Eugenie Bouchard at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.

The first ever Pickleball Slam delivered a record-breaking crowd and the highest-rated pickleball telecast in ESPN history, per The Pickleball Slam.
