Jana mentioned that she shouldn’t wait for her partner to hit the ball because her partner was going to hit a great drop shot, but at the club level waiting does make a differences. I am only a ~3.5 player, but I am aggressive about getting to the kitchen. What I have noticed is that when I head to the kitchen in time with my partners stoke, they often mis-hit the ball (I think because I create a distraction for them), whereas, if I wait until they hit it and then go, they are more likely to make the shot. (I know…, I need to play with better players, right? 😉 ) Nonetheless, it does seem to be a reality.
