MATCH WINNER: BLQK WINS 3-1. Lions beat the odds to win Men’s Doubles match but ultimately fall short to dominant BLQK.

4:30pm THE RANCHERS VS THE BUS
Women’s Doubles: The Bus wins 21-19
Men’s Doubles: The Bus wins 21-18
Mixed 1 (Burrows/Stratman vs. Bright/Young): Ranchers win 21-10
Mixed 2 (Kawamoto/Ignatowich vs. Barr/Lange): Ranchers win 22-20
Dreambreaker: Ranchers win 21-17
MATCH WINNER: RANCHERS 3-2. Impressive performance by The Bus who statistically was predicted to lose considering DUPR matchup head to heads – in the 70 to 20 percentile range per doubles game. The Bus took both gender doubles games and The Ranchers fought back in mixed and brought in the win during the Dreambreaker.

Mixed 1 (Kawamoto/Frazier vs. Johnson/Daescu): ATX wins 21-15
Mixed 2 (Ansboury/Tellez vs Gaytan-Leach/Yates): Hard Eights 21-18
MATCH WINNER: HARD EIGHTS 3-1
Hard Eights were aggressive and confident, showing a strong performance in gender doubles, falling in MX1, then O.G. Kyle Yates and Cierra Gaytan-Leach delivered in the clutch.

Nail biter! All of these games were close – two exciting teams really got the crowd going! Julian Arnold closes out the game-winning point in our first Dreambreaker of the day.

MATCH WINNER: THE 5’S WIN 3-1. Padegimaite and Jardim dominate with kills.

3:00pm JACKRABBITS VS. FLORIDA SMASH
Women’s Doubles: Florida Smash wins 21-19
Men’s Doubles: Florida Smash wins 21-13
Mixed 1 (David/Johnson vs. Schneeman/Johnson): Jackrabbits win 21-13

Most exciting game of the day? Quite possibly. Florida Smash owns gender doubles and the Jackrabbits owned the mixed category. Veteran player & team owner Travis Rettenmaier faces off with Adam Stone to clench the win.

Mixed 1 (Whitwell/Koller vs. Koop/De La Rosa): Chimeras win 21-11
Mixed 2 (Fudge/Tardio vs. Brascia/Arnold): Chimeras win 21-17
MATCH WINNER: CHIMERAS 3-1
Errors and told the story of this match – Andrea Koop and Daniel De La Rosa from the Chimeras were very aggressive and made just a single error each compared to 10 errors from MDPC. The Chimeras had an impressive 5.0 Kill/Error ratio.

Friday’s matchup of Clean Cause and The 5’s showed 4 very close games, separated only by a few errors and no more than a 3 point lead at the finish.
