Such is the rationale behind Selkirk's CourtStrike 2.0, the new model of the fan-favorite pickleball shoe that dropped a year ago almost to the day.

Offered once again in standard and pro models, the shoe been improved based on player feedback to amplify the features that made the original so great: performance, durability, and comfort.

What's New on the CourtStrike 2.0?

Selkirk’s CourtStrike shoe was uniquely designed for pickleball — every drop step, shuffle step, and split-step.

The CourtStrike 2.0 takes the features found on the first model, and dials them up a bit:

• Better rubber: The upgraded abrasion-resistant rubber is tougher and more durable, lasting longer and withstanding intense games
• Extra wear-resistant protection: New added protective material around the bottom shoelace area better prevents wear and tear
• Upgraded foam insole: The insole is now softer, bouncier, and lighter for better comfort during all-day play
• New colors: The 2.0 introduces striking new colorways for both men and women

My On-Court Experience

Selkirk sent me a pair of the CourtStrike 2.0 Pros to try for myself for the past couple weeks.

Here are my takeaways after a few sessions:

• They are comfortable and responsive right out of the box
• The new rubber is a noticeable upgrade – just bouncy enough to feel plush, but dense enough to really grab the court
• The toebox is roomy without overdoing it; the heel-cup locks your foot in place
• The insole does feel premium
