The One Two PUNCH Combo! (Off Pace Jab + Counter)

Good players can hit hard. GREAT players can choose the velocity of their shots. I first learned this idea from Jaume Vich, who in our podcast taught me that 5.0 players are good-- they can hit hard but they typically have one speed and one target. But for him, he was teaching me that off pace shots and choosing targets can be more effective. The idea is that the first shot isn't supposed to be a kill shot. The first shot is a set up shot, which you can essentially think of as a "jab". The real threat is the follow up that happens after the initial jab.
