Less than a week after the Columbus Sliders took down the New Jersey Fives in New York City in the Major League Pickleball Finals, The PPA Tour is back in action in Las Vegas.

The Walgreens Open at the Las Vegas Strip is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, on the Strip, from August 27-31.

This is an Open level event, meaning 1,000 PPA Points are on the line for the winners. Additionally, this is a true traditional draw, meaning the following schedule will take place:

  • Thursday - Women’s and Men’s singles, through semifinals
  • Friday - Mixed doubles, through semifinals
  • Saturday - Women’s and Men’s Doubles, through semifinals
  • Sunday - Championship Sunday

There have only been three PPA Tour stops since the inception of the 2025 MLP season, but now the PPA Tour is front and center again.

Draws for the Walgreens Open at the Las Vegas Strip

Women’s Singles

  • Kate Fahey is the #1 seed in women’s singles - Anna Leigh Waters is playing this tournament, just not singles

Men’s Singles

  • The men’s singles field is stacked, and getting more difficult, with newly signed Chris Haworth as the #52 seed
  • Fed hasn’t won an event in singles since The Masters in January - can he find his winning way again?

Mixed Doubles

  • Despite just playing AGAINST each other in the MLP Finals, (5) Dizon and Daescu are playing together and (12) Jansen and Khlif are teamed up together in mixed
  • JW and Jorja Johnson are sitting this one out, so that makes it an even easier field for Anna Leigh and Ben in mixed

Women’s Doubles

  • Anna Bright and Anna Leigh Waters haven’t lost a game in the three events they have played together in 2025 - how long can that last?
  • Parris Todd and Catherine Parenteau are paired up as the 2 seed - can they make some noise?

Men’s Doubles

  • With no JW Johnson, CJ Klinger is partnered with Tyson McGuffin as the four seed - three out of the four “Big 4” teams are playing in Vegas
