Discover the 3 pieces players over 50 need to create to a consistent dink so you can finally control your non-volley zone game and stop giving your opponent easy attacks. 👉 Download the FREE 3.5 to 4.0 Player Guide: https://bit.ly/4k0WYbh Every shot in pickleball — whether it's a dink or a ground stroke — is built on 3 pieces that need to work together every single time. The first is movement to the shot. The second is your paddle stroke. The third is foundation — the connection between your foot on the court and that paddle swing. When those 3 pieces don't work together, that's when mistakes including pop ups happen. For players over 50, the biggest breakdown often begins with the ready position. Most of us stand with narrow feet, little knee flex, and end up bending forward from the hips — which makes it nearly impossible to see the ball. The fix is simple: step out to shoulder width, get on the front part of your foot or your triangles, and let your shoulder sit over your base. From there you can move laterally, keep your hips parallel to the net, and get your eyes down to the ball. Add a minimal backswing, think about pushing the ball to your target . Lastly maintain your foundation on every shot. Your foundation is the relationship between your body and your paddle. You don't want your arm too close to your body or too far away. That will break your foundation.— and your non-volley zone game changes immediately.
