The newly founded Canadian Pickleball Association (CPA) has announced a professional pickleball tour for Canada, and will launch in 2024.

The CPA Pro Tour will consist of 24 professional players that will sign exclusive contracts with the tour.

The format of play will be a double elimination tournament, and we assume play will be in singles, gender doubles, and mixed doubles.

For 2024, there will be 4 events, and a prize pool of $15,000 allocated for each event.

CPA Tour – Initial Pro Signings

Some of the initial pro signings to the CPA Tour include, Ernesto Fuardo, Kim Layton, Brad Chapman, and Haddow Thul.

CPA Pro Tour has Amateur Event at all Tour Stops

In additional to the professionals competing for prize money, the each CPA Pro Tour event will have amateur competitions as well. This is similar the the amateurs competing at PPA and APP events in the US.

There will be singles, gender doubles, and mixed doubles in these events and they will be divided into four age categories., of 19 and above, 35 and above, 50 and above, and 60 and above.

Similar to the US tours, the addition of the amateur competition will not only aid in revenue for the events, and spectators to the competitions and what we expect will be an overall festival atmosphere to each tour stop with the addition of hundreds of avid pickleball players.

CPA Pro Tour Sponsors

The CPA Tour has announced its initial sponsors for 2024, and they include Tim Horton's, Joola, Head, TSS Pickleball, Hisports, and Heali.
