Reddit just served us another gem in the “pickleball is officially everywhere” file—this time from a group of friends in Pakistan who built a court from scratch… on unoccupied farmland.
The post, simply titled “No one plays here, so we made our own court,” features a photo of a DIY court painted by hand on a former cricket pitch. The OP explains:
“Figured we should try pickleball but literally no one knows about it. Found an empty cement court… used house paint, a brush, and some masking tape. COURT LINES ARE BLOODY HARD TO GET STRAIGHT.”
Balls and paddles came from Temu. The net has since been upgraded. But the energy? Immaculate. These guys play three times a week and aren’t looking back.
The post quickly took off in r/pickleball, sparking everything from admiration to jokes about inevitable noise complaints. One commenter warned:
“Won’t be long before the neighbors complain about the noise and want to start implementing playing times!”The OP? Unbothered.
“This is actually in unoccupied farmland. So our neighbors are quite smelly. They’re buffaloes.”How to Make a Pickleball Court | Makeshift Court Guide

Reactions flooded in:
- “Got to watch out for those complaining buffaloes 😂”
- “This is so awesome! Love those cinder block crosses under the posts. Rustic and totally badass.”
- “Let the addiction begin 😄”
And as one user put it perfectly:
“If you build it… they will come.”We couldn’t agree more.
