Face it, every day we need to pay attention to our bodies and make sure we are hydrating – So Hydrate Everyday!

Pickleball players seem to fall into one of these two categories; home (neighborhood activities) or traveling.

Are you home, creating your own active options within your neighborhood?

Throughout the world we are facing different realities as it relates to getting out and being active. Perhaps your neighborhood is “open” for activities, social interactions, maybe some pickleball play. There is also a strong possibility your neighborhood pickleball is still locked down and you’re forced to “find” non-pickleball ways to get yourself out and about; walking, bicycling anything to keep moving and stay in shape. I live in Southern California, and currently the weather is hot – breaking records. So even though I’m not competing in any recent tournaments I am playing with a small group of players, exercising on my own and loving my long, early-morning walks. I can get good and sweaty just power walking, ha!

I have been competing in pickleball at the Pro level for 11 years now. In fact, we did not have a “pro” division back then—it was the 5.0 Skill Level. So, I have been around pickleball “forever” it seems!

For those of you that compete in tournaments, you know that this sport’s competition is unlike any other. You actually compete all day long. As you keep winning, you have to keep exerting high levels of energy, focus, and stamina to make it through the finals—which could be at 9 PM when you started your first round at 8 AM.
