It’s one thing to learn. But it’s another thing to PRACTICE. If our goal is to rapidly improve in pickleball and hone in our technique, then it’s absolutely essential to practice. In this video, I take you along with me while I practice what I learned: Nick’s forehand “closed stance” drive. I’ve always been an “open stance” player-- it’s where I feel most balanced and coordinated, but learning to hit drives in the closed stance is extremely important to take my groundstrokes to the next level. I really enjoy hitting with a ball machine because I can hit hundreds and hundreds of the exact same ball. Unless you have a highly skilled coach who can give you precise feeds, it’s extremely rare to get an instance where you get to practice the same stroke over and over again. My ball machine of choice is the Titan because it's really easy to use/transport, and the built-in programs are sweet. No tinkering or adjusting needed. For those of you who have one and want to this specific drill, then one I used for this video is called “Deep Serve-FH" :-) -- Titan One $100 OFF (link supports the channel): https://titanballmachines.com/products/titan-pickleball-machine?sca_ref=5260209.2D4kpkQAzY Extra Long Ball Tube: https://amzn.to/4day9a7 Montis Pickleball Shoe: https://montispickleball.com/products/white-blue-drop-1-0?aff=4 Hesacore Grip: https://shop.hesacore.com/products/pickleball-hesacore-tour-grip?ref=EDJU UDrippin Overgrip: https://www.udrippin.com/products/pure-white-pro-tour-grips?sca_ref=5499978.nogjI6YjkR Use Code: EDJU to save 👍 Other pickleball gear I'm using right now: https://linktr.ee/edjupickleball -- Timestamps: 0:00 Intro 0:56 Forehand Drill 4:39 Summary ~ https://www.instagram.com/edjupickleball https://www.tiktok.com/@edjupickleball https://www.reddit.com/user/ANTIQUE_HEALBOT_/ Source: Ed Ju
