If you’re keeping tabs on paddle switches in pro pickleball (and you should be), this week delivered two major shakeups: Tina Pisnik and Dylan Frazier are now rocking new paddle brands—and neither move was expected.
Let’s start with the surprise of the season.
Tina Pisnik Joins Warping Point
Tina Pisnik, the former WTA World #29 turned pickleball powerhouse, has been dominant on the pro scene. For the last 15 months, she’s been crushing it with a ProXR paddle—a brand known for its longevity and credibility amongst the pickleball community.
Her signing with ProXR in January 2024 seemed like a long-term match (remember this IG announcement?).
And then out of nowhere, she flips to Warping Point. Never heard of it? You're not alone. Warping Point is a brand-new paddle company and Tina is their first-ever signed pro. Big swing.
For Pisnik to walk away from an OG like ProXR and throw her weight behind a rookie brand tells us one thing: she sees something special.
The question now: how good is this paddle if Tina's betting her game on it?
Dylan Frazier Leaves Selkirk for Volair
Next up: Dylan Frazier. He’s been with Selkirk since 2022 and even had his own signature paddle. But that relationship quietly ended, and the rumor mill started churning when Dylan was seen swinging the JOOLA Magnus 3S.
Then came the curveball—today’s announcement that he’s officially signed with Volair.
Volair burst onto the paddle scene in late 2022 with co-founders Ryan Cohen and pro player Julian Arnold. Julian quickly became the face of the brand, playing with the Mach 1—a paddle we even got our hands on and reviewed it when it first dropped. It made waves, and so did Julian.
A ‘Control’ Paddle for All Play Styles: Volair Mach 1
We have a new pickleball paddle review for you, and it’s a fun one. Today’s feature: Volair’s first paddle release, the Julian Arnold Signature Paddle: Mach 1. Volair allowed me to take this new paddle for a spin. So without further delay, ANDIAMO! Volair’s Mach 1 is a high-quality

But things shifted. Julian quietly stopped using the paddle, and Volair seemed to pivot more toward the amateur scene, signing content creators like Evan Slaughter and Sean Munoz.
Now? They’re back in the pro spotlight—this time with Dylan Frazier. One of the most consistent players on tour, Dylan choosing Volair raises eyebrows (in a good way).
And while he’s only just signed, let’s just say we wouldn’t be shocked if a Dylan Frazier signature paddle is in the works.
With both players active on the PPA Tour and in Major League Pickleball, we’ll get to see these decisions play out in real time.
Are these the right moves? Time (and tournament results) will tell.
But one thing’s certain: the paddle wars just got a lot more interesting.
